Supporting structures for a toll station in Brasil

In a mountainous region with limited space, steep slopes and fine-grained sedimentation layers with low load-bearing capacity, the Tamoios toll station had to be built. For this purpose, the Geosynthetic Reinforced Soil (GRS) system with block stone facing was used. In this video you can see within two minutes how the project was realised and how the steep embankments / supporting structures were constructed.
